Hi, I’m Shelley Nicholson and I launched Nicholson Business Solutions in the spring of 2017. After 18 years at Hallmark Institute of Photography I decided to take the strengths and skills I used there as Director of Student & Career Services, and Business Instructor, to start a service that would offer administrative and marketing assistance to photographers and other small businesses.

In developing this business, I asked myself two questions:  

Q: What am I good at?

A: Organization, Time Management, Communication, Writing, Proof Reading & Editing, Marketing, Networking, Connecting People

Q: What do I like to do?

A: Organize (I know…it’s weird!), Write, Work with People, Help People Solve Problems

Most photographers I know want to spend time doing what they do best…taking pictures! But many of them get bogged down with all the other stuff that needs to happen to run a successful business. My business philosophy is fairly simple: Free up TIME for photographers by managing some of the tasks that take their time away from shooting.

I can do this remotely. I don’t invade your space. Communication between us will be key, but with healthy communication and technology, we can accomplish your goals together.

I think the most successful businesses, at their core, are those that value the relationship between vendor and client. I find true joy in the success of others, and if I can play a part in that, then I count myself successful too!
